will be joined today at the Outrigger Reef on the Beach by Karl
Meinhardt of South
Seas Photography, a fabulous South Pacific and Hawaii
photographer, who will be joining us for lunch and the show. He
is a client, a friend and a great fan of our beautiful islands,
Tahiti, Fiji and Australia. Special guest host Elliot Mills of Outrigger
Properties will also be telling us about all of the wonderful things
happening at these fine Outrigger properties.
Outrigger Reef has completed
the first phase of a $100 million top-to-bottom transformation that
will include rebuilding of all guest rooms, reception, and common
areas. The effort will continue through 2008. Great care has been
taken to isolate activity to minimize inconvenience to our guests,
and we sincerely appreciate your patience while improvements are
made.
Outrigger Reef will remain open for
guest stays throughout the transformation offering select guest
services including on-site dining at Shore Bird Restaurant &
Beach Bar and Ocean House Restaurant. Serenity Spa will also be
available with a full menu of day spa treatments. Room service will
not be available.
Outrigger Reef is steps to the exciting, new Waikiki Beach Walk™
promenade with fun fashion and delectable dining. When completed,
the new Outrigger Reef will extend Waikiki Beach Walk to the seashore.
We invite you to be among the first to experience Outrigger Reef
as it unveils a distinctive, refined resort hotel experience on
beautiful Waikiki Beach.
Also
being discussed on the show is sister property Outrigger Waikiki,
Traditional Hawaiian elegance meets contemporary island style on
Waikiki Beach. From the gracious welcome at our seated reception
to the cool and comfortable guest room you’ll enjoy, Outrigger
Waikiki offers surroundings that impress. You can’t help but
have fun, too, at legendary Duke’s Canoe Club, the place to
be seen in Waikiki. And learn to ride the surf at the world’s
most famous beach, just like the beach boys of lore.
Outrigger Waikiki illuminates
Hawaii's heritage with displays of royal artifacts, and workshops
conducted by kupuna, teachers of music and history. The hotel has
earned Hawaii Visitors & Convention Bureau's respected Kahili
Award for guest programs that promote authentic Hawaiian culture
and arts.
Thank you for visiting.. And
come by often as we develop this site with FUN and ROMANCE and ESCAPE
in mind.
