RUTH'S CHRIS STEAK HOUSE IN WAILEA TO HOLD SILVER OAK WINE DINNER ON TUESDAY, JUNE 19

Ruth's Chris Steak House at The Shops at Wailea holds a special wine dinner showcasing Silver Oak Cellars, the Napa Valley winery known for its cabernets, on Tuesday, June 19 at 6:30 p.m.
The complete dinner, with a Ruth's Chris dinner paired with Silver Oak wines, is priced at $125 per person. Reservations may be made by calling

Silver Oaks representative Steve Raskin will be the guest at the dinner, speaking on the wines and their relationship to the courses presented, beginning with the amuse bouche of spiced seared ahi on cucumber chip with avocado puree and followed by an appetizer of bacon-wrapped seared scallops with roasted vanilla bean beurre blanc over sauteed spinach.
The salad features stuffed calamari, braised with Italian sausages and fresh tomatoes, served with "Twomey" Merlot 2003 by Silver Oak, followed by an intermezzo of strawberry sorbet with a splash of champagne and fresh mint.
Complementing Silver Oak's 1998 "Alexander Valley" Cabernet Sauvignon will be the entree course of roasted tournedos of beef with sauteed tiger prawns, topped with a demi and garlic chive cream sauce, and served with a garlic potato cake.
The final course will be Ruth's Chris Steak House¹s signature chocolate sin cake, with fresh seasonal berries and a country cream topping, paired with the 2002 Silver Oak "Napa" Cabernet Sauvignon.
Silver Oak, founded in the early 1970's by entrepreneur Ray Duncan and Justin Meyer, a former winemaker with Christian Brothers, produces only Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged for as long as live years, first in American oak barrels and then in bottles, Silver Oak is known for its exhilarating, smooth red wines which Jessie Ibanez, General Manager of Ruth¹s Chris Wailea, says "are the perfect complements to our menu, especially our prime steaks."
